Why hybrid cars gas mileage is better in city ? Why hybrid cars gas mileage is better in city ?
I'd like to find out what hybrid car has the best gas mileage? We are thinking about getting a new hybrid car...Any suggestions? What car is the biggest bang for my buck?
Which non-hybrid car has the best gas mileage? I'm shopping for a car, but can't afford a hybrid. I want something that won't cost much to fill up.
Why do people lie about Hybrid cars getting better gas Mileage? Given that the Hybrid car can have it's batteries and electric motor taken out and get better mileage, since it is lighter by about 1000 lbs. Would it not be simply up to statistics that you might save enough gas at stop lights and brakeing to make up for hauling around the extra 1000 lbs all day?
Which standard engine (not hybrid) car gets the best gas mileage? I've been in the market for a new car since September. I know, I know, but it has to be a perfect blend of economy, price, and features. I'm very partial to the Toyota Corolla at 38 mpg, but I just want to make the best decision possible. Any advise or does anybody know of a better car?
Why do Hybrid cars get worse gas mileage on the Highway vs City? I went car shopping this weekend. On the Hybrid cars the mpg rating for the highway driving is worse than city. This is complete opposite from gasoline cars that get better on the highway. I don't get it?
What non-hybrid cars get great gas mileage and cost under $23K? I am car shopping and have looked at everything from Honda to hyundai but there's too many. I need a car that gets at least 28MPG in the city and cost me no more than $23,000. Can anyone simplify the process for me and help me narrow my search? I prefer regular unleaded, automatic, and some interior luxuries.
Why don't the hybrid cars get better gas mileage? The Geo Metro in the 1980's got the same 50 miles to the gallon as the current hybrids. I was told it was the government which doesn't want to lose revenues on gas sales due to better mileage.
What gas only car out there gets the best mileage? Which car get the best gas mileage? No hybrid answers or electric....just gaoline run cars only. Thanks.
Hybrid cars seem to get no better gas mileage on the highway. Why the popularity? What is it about Hybrid vehicles that people are willing to spend five to ten thousand dollars more than a regular car? Is the mileage that much better?
Anyone actually own a hybrid car that gets GREAT gas mileage...tell me this...? What brand is it...what is the mpg...and what are some downsides to your particular car?
Which non-hybrid cars get the best gas mileage? I'm looking for an affordable 4 cylinder car that gets at least 32-35mpg. I'm not looking for a $20,000 Honda or Toyota. Just a nice little used car that's affordable.
What midsize car gets the best gas mileage? I got 2 kids, so it can't be tiny (not a hybrid, can't afford it) Need something that gets better gas mileage than a minivan, but I can't afford brand new or a hybrid.
are hybrid owners satisfied , ? is the gas mileage and the car worth the cost, is it dependable? I have considered the Toyota prius is what is hybrid owners thoughts
What the gas prices rising nonstop, what new car gets the best gas mileage? I am looking to buy a new car but needs something fuel efficient. Any good cars out there with good gas mileage? Any Hybrids besides the Prius ? No smart cars please.
Why don't hybrid car makers just run the gas engine to power a generator at constant speed? More efficient. An internal combustion engine runs more efficiently at constant speed. If it was run to charge the batteries when needed, via a generator, it seems to me it would be much more efficient than today's dual mode hybrids. This is essentially what diesel-electric locomotives do, and they get much better "gas mileage" than cars.
Why are hybrid cars not able to get better gas mileage than some cars from the early 90s? Some cars in the early 90s like the civic, geo metro, etc got 50mpg or more. Howcome almost 20 years later, our hybrid technology is not able to significantly outperform these vehicles?
Are the emissions from hybrid cars the same as for a non-hybrid that gets the same gas mileage? The Lexus RX400h gets about 25 miles to the gallon. While this is better than the non-hybrid model, it is still not great mileage. I wonder whether the RX400h's emissions are the same as any other 25 MPG car, or does it pollute less?
what was the gas tank mileage on a car in 1885? i need to compare the mileage of a hybrid car with the mileage of one of the first cars ever made.
Why can't (won't) car companies wrap a high mileage hybrid in a sporty car body? I wouldn't buy a Prius because it is just plain ugly and so is the 4 door Civic (I would buy the 2 door counter part, but it does not come in a hybrid). For crying out loud a Nissan Z300, Porsche Cayman, Lotus Elise, etc., are not much bigger chasis wise - so why not pop a sport car body on to a hybrid frame. Just because it won't go fast vs. the fossil fuel counterparts wouldn't matter to me - I would get a great looking car and high gas mileage!
What car gets the best gas mileage? What regular car gets the best gas mileage? Not any of those hybrids that get like 50 mpg. Cars like the Mazda 3 and Honda Civic for example.....
Does your hybrid get the gas mileage promised? Honda has claimed that the EPA mileage tests are invalid for hybrids and the numbers supplied by the government are grossly overstated. A quote from Honda customer relations: "I can understand his complaint/concern that his actual mileage differs from the mileage estimate provided on the Monroney Label. Advised client the tests performed were developed over 30 years ago and do not reflect real driving situations, let alone driving habits of consumers in the modern day. advised additionally these tests do not take Hybrid vehicles into consideration, and Hybrid vehicle estimates are inflated based on the test procedures. Advised client Hybrid vehicles are more dramatically affected by outside influences such as air conditioning, driving habits, windows up/down, and vehicle load than normal combustion engines. Advised Hybrids require a particular driving style in order to be fuel efficient, and short trips penalize hybrid efficiency more so than regular cars." What's the deal? NOTE: The EPA is changing the way it calculates gas mileage for 2008 models. The Prius EPA MPG combined will drop from 55 to 46. That's a 17% decrease! (of couse all vehicles' mileage will drop.) Check here: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/calculatorSelectEngine.jsp?year=2007&make=Toyota&model=Prius
Best gas mileage car? Not a question but just wanting to know you do not need a expensive hybrid to get good gas mileage I was reading and a 1984 honda civic gets 51 town and 67 hwy. also I watched a thing where the prius raced a lambo around a track and the lambo got better gas mileage while racing around a track.
whats the best hybrid car out on the market? I have an suv and work as a visiting nurse. I need a car with better gas mileage, but I also need the space of an suv for my family. Any suggestions?
What is the best car for the money considering gas mileage and dependability? I am considering the Honda Civic hybrid. What's your recommendations? I want good gas milage and a car that will last. I don't do alot of stop and go, but it's not going to be used for highway use either, just regular driving, and I'm not a lead foot. Don't care about power or extras. Needs to be automatic, with cruise and A/C
what is a car that has good gas mileage? i want a car that isnt a gas guzzler like my blazer (15 city). anyone know one that has at least 30 city and is not a hybrid? and please dont give me links to kbb.com or anything like that. i want actual names of cars.
What's the best gas mileage I can get from an AFFORDABLE car? By affordable I mean none of those new 30,000 dollar hybrids. What's the best used car to get the best gas mileage from? Something that's like... under 5,000. I heard Honda made a CRX that got like 50 MPG. Is this true? If so, which exact model and engine is it and where can I find one? Any other exceptionally fuel efficient cars I should know about? The CRX is not an SUV. That's the CRV.
What is the current record for gas mileage (mpq)? I know that some hybrid cars tested to have a gas mileage of about 50 mpg, but I wonder if there's anything over that. it should say mpg, not mpq. Wow... I can be an idiot sometimes.
How does a hybrid car work? I know that hybrid cars are a combination of gas and electric energy, but I don't exactly understand how it is that it works. How is it that these cars are more environmentally friendly, and why do they get better gas mileage?
Obama wants the car manufacturers to regulate gas mileage at 30 MPG, minimum....? Does that mean if you drive an older car that isn't a hybrid or gets that kind of gas mileage that a NEW tax will be implemented on drivers? And I know that he wants to entice people into purchasing newer cars by trading in their old one for $3,500.00 Is Obama so out of touch with the average taxpayer and worker that he doesn't understand that maybe a person can't afford a $350+ dollar payment a month?
In a hybrid or Electric car, do headlights, the radio, or a heater cause your mileage to decrease? Especially the heater. If your gas motor is tiny and not running all the time, how does the cab interior heat? If it's electric, wouldn't that destroy your gas mileage?
Why is it that hybrid cars get such crappy gas mileage??? In the year 2008, over a hundred years since the age of the automobile, and the best the auto manufactureers can come out with is the toyota prius which averages less than 50 MPG. Is it just me, or does something seem wrong here???? I'm just trying to get people to think outside the box for once instead of living in it like they all do....Ever heard of the pogue carbureator??? Cars that used it got 200MPG, and these were normal cars, ever heard of stan meyer, got over 100MPG using water (no gas). In my opinion hybrids suck!!! I know many poeple who have modified their cars to perform better, get better mileage, and last longer than the automakers could do. I'm just saying there are people all around the world that know a lot about cars, many of them have achieved 100mpg with fuel vaporizers, fuel heaters, water injection etc. So if ordinary people can do it, why don't the automakers do it?
How To Save On Gas Mileage or Go Green With American Hybrid Systems? Any experimental techniques to save on gas mileage that can be adopted to your existing car? Heard about conversion kits. Where can I learn more about them? Looking to 'go green' like the rest of America.
Why is the gas mileage on 07 camry hybrid so low? I have 2007 Toyota Camry. The mileage was originally advertised as 38 mpg on highways and 40 mpg in the city. I get anywhere from 30 to 32 mpg. Is this normal? What mileage are others getting for these cars? The dealer tells me that it is because of ethanol in the gas and the winter. Can someone explain why this should make a difference when all cars use it?
I need a car that gets good gas mileage? I can't afford a hybrid because they are overpriced. Advice?
What cars have the best gas mileage? Including regular cars and hybrids.... What is the gas mileage for motorcycles?
Good first high gas-mileage car? I'm shopping for my first car now and since gas prices are going up fast, which first cars have high gas-mileage. Note since this is my first car, I won't be able to afford like any hybrids or something like that.
new car with the best gas mileage ? and the cheapest new car no hybrids ! i just want to know the cheapest car i can buy brand new that's gets great gas mileage thank you and yes im looking for a small compact
Is it true that cars is Europe get better gas mileage than the American Hybrids? I have one friend from Europe that says cars in Europe get better gas milage than American hybrids. He says cars exported to the U.S. are modified to decrease gas milage. Another friend has a brother who is an engineer for a American mfg. in Europe that agrees. What is the modification that they do to decrease mpg efficiency.
What American-made car gets the best gas mileage? Please don't include hybrids. I am seriously considering trading cars. At the present time I have a Pontiac G6 and I travel approximately 50 miles per day (roundtrip) for my job. After spending $50 to fill my tank yesterday I have come to the conclusion that it is now time to get serious about saving $$$.
Why aren't more diesel cars (with better gas mileage) imported into the U.S., except VW's? Diesel cars get better gas mileage than regular gas-fed cars, and often compare with hybrids in mileage. I know they were once known as dirty and high-emission, but alot of that has been worked on and improved. Why is it that only VW seems to be selling these autos in the U.S.?
How much money and or how much electricity does it cost to charge up the batteries of a hybrid car? They have these claims that the hybrids get such good gas mileage. And they probably do. How much does it cost you in electricity to charge up their batteries? Cause if it costs a lot in your electric bill, why bother? And then there is the cost of a new battery? How often do you have to pay that out? Anybody been through this or have knowledge thereof?
How does a hybrid car work? Do they need to be plugged in or charged or do they just get better gas mileage than other cars?
What impact do gas companies have in car development? Hybrids-Gas-Ethanol? Why are more and more hybrids not increasing gas mileage, but are increasing acceleration. Is there any gas company influence?
Should I even consider a non-hybrid car? I've looked at a few cars and I keep coming back to two. The Mini Cooper and the Toyota Prius, both are good on safety, and cost about the same. But one looks way better [cooper] and the other gets insane gas mileage. Should I even consider getting a non-hybrid car given how high gas is reported to go? Gas Mileage [highway/city]: Mini Cooper - 28/37 Prius - 48/45 42% better/18% better I mean how much money would I be saving a year? Because I know that repair costs on a hybrid are more...in theory it might just level out over time...and I'm doing mostly "city" driving actually...
Hybrid car payments or gas prices ! ?? Question !!? I want to buy a hybrid to save money on gas. I currently spend about 300-400 dollars on gas money for a nissan quest. However wouldnt it come down to the same thing if i bought a hybrid considering i would have to pay car payments and GAS ? What do you think ? ps. I also have a 96 corolla with decent mileage but its gettin old already >>
Other than hybrids, what cars are the best in gas mileage? Would you choose between Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic?
Advice on hybrid cars? We need a new car that gets superior gas mileage. I'm inclined to go hybrid, but my husband has several objections: 1. The hybrid cars have problems: they're harder to maintain and depreciate faster. 2. There are non-hybrid cars that get almost as good gas mileage as hybrid cars. He's not interested in arguments about saving the ozone layer or stopping global warming...the pocket book (both on saving money at the pump and at the dealer) is the bottom line. Are there any suggestions on how I can get him to consider hybrids? Thanks.
What are some vehicles that offer great gas mileage or are hybrid/electric/etc? Ive noticed on my little 4-door sedan, it used to cost $30 to fill up back in summer 2006... and now is $60 to fill up... and judging by projected gas increase..it could be up to $75! So, it looks liek gas is just going to keep increasing year by year...and the news isnt lying about people choosing between food or gas and people not traveling. So what vehicle either looks cute (for a girl) or sporty, but is very fuel efficient? Also maybe hybrid, electric, etc (but not flex fuel)? Also, it has to be reasonably priced as well. I plan on trading in my car near the end of this year for something that doesnt use much gas.
MX5 or hybrid car? Hello, I am a 16 year old looking to get my first car. I am thinking between the mazda mx5 and toyota prius (or civic hybrid). I have always loved having performance in my car and I love driving with the top down. However, with the rising gas prices, I have decided to take into consideration gas mileage. The mx5 has pretty good gas mileage but it doesnt compare to hybrid cars. Unfortunately in terms of insurance and gas I will have to pay for it myself. I will be getting a job soon and will be working about 10 hours/week at minimum wage. What should I do?
What is the nicest car for around 15k-18k used with the best gas mileage; we are looking at infin g35 @ bmw? we would like to buy like a 204-2005 bmw 3 or an infinity g35 coupe but the gas mileage is only around 17-18 mpg; the hybrid cards are just not very appealing outside but the gas mileage is great; does anyone have any suggestions
which car has better gas mileage? the Toyota Prius, the Honda Civic hybrids, or the Ford Escape? (i don't know if all the companies are right for the type of car, but you should know what cars i'm talking about) please give me a source with your answer. thanks! :)
i need to trade my truck in for something with good gas mileage? i love my 2001 Ford Ranger but gas is out of control. What would you suggest has the best gas mileage for a car, or even for a truck like the escape hybrid would a 4cylinder truck be better at gas then a v6?
What is a great hybrid suv for reliability, price, utility and gas mileage? I have a friend who is having car trouble. She knows nothing about cars and lives far from me, so I can't help her. She has a need to carry things at times, so a prius or small car won't work. She currently drives a chevy blazer but needs something now which will be good on gas.(don't we all?) Unless someone has a better idea I'm thinking of a hybrid suv. Which are the better choices? Something like a small to medium suv with great gas mileage and excellent reliability would be appreciated.
Does anyone have a hybrid car and if so do they run any slower than normal cars and how is the gas milage.? I want to buy one and i dont want to buy one if they are no better than the regular car I have now.
Which hybrid car gives the most gas milages and how many? i will be looking for a new car soon and i need a cheap car nothing luxurious please tell me which car is the best and the cheapest... again the key word is the cheap
what is the best hybrid car for under 20 thousand? looking for a dependible new car that gets good gas mileage and looks cool
The new super gas milage cars?? Hybrids? So They are being sold on the coast. But in Wyoming where the wind blows and the snow flies how do they stand up?? Do you have one and how do you like them?
Why would u buy a hybrid car? Why would u buy a hybrid car? dont tell me because it will save u money and gas mileage and it helps the earth i kn that
Planning on buying a car, what has the best gas mileage in U.S? When are the plug in hybrids arriving to the market? I heard something about Fuel and Hydrogen cell cars, when are these cars supposed to come out? I want something around 100 mpg.
Real gas mileage for Toyota Prius and Honda Insight? I'm thinking of buying either a Prius or an Insight, because these are the hybrids that supposedly get the best gas mileages. I know what the EPA estimates are for their gas mileage, and I also know those estimate can be very far from reality. Any one know what these cars really get for gas mileage?
Anyone know cars that get good gas mileage? I know hybrids and cars like that do but i want a car that i could get used. I like sports cars like honda acorrds and cars like that
Besides me, is anyone else turned off by these pathetic, wimpy new hybrid cars? I want a car that actuallt some something called LOOKS and HORSEPOWER like a corvette, V8 Firebird, or V8 Camaro. I think those pathetic wimpy hybrid cars look stupid as well. I don't care how high the gas prices get, I will make DAMN SURE I at least get a V8 Firebird, V8 Camaro, or V8 Mustang as a secondary car if I need a main car that gets good gas mileage. So I may drive a Hybrid, but at least I know I can always bring out that cool V8 sports car out of my garage whenever I want. And to all of you who say that you're at least saving a lot on gas, I say this to you, You're not saving on gas when you compare gas prices right now to what they were in 2005. You're paying the same on gas now as someone with an SUV back in 2005...
how does a hybrid car work? compaire gas milage between hybrid cars
how long to break even on more expensive hybrid car prius purchase? At $3.25 per gallon and comparing the Toyota prius to another small car, say the honda civic. How much would you have to drive it in order for the car in miles and years (15,000 miles per year is average I believe) to break even by having better gas mileage?
The best Compact SUV on gas milage thats not a Hybrid? We are looking into getting a new car/truck/suv because our current car gets not so good gas milage. We are consitering a Compact SUV because we like going on trips, but need a more fuel efficient car so we can still do these things. We want a truck, but know that with the limited space in the trucks that actually get good gas would not be enough. So now we want to know, what is a good Compact SUV that gets good gas (above 25mpg). I know compact SUV's dont have the space a regular Yukon has, but enough for 4 people and a dog to fit comfortably in (with the exeption of a friend).
why is it illegal to beat up a hybrid car driver? can there be a more stuck up, self serving, egotystical person on the road. with i hate suv, and anti war or bush bumper stickers and some cute vanity plate claiming there gas mileage. these people pis me off!!! congrats you bought a sardine can that will cost you thousands in up keep due to your baterey cells and if you get hit by my SUV it will smear you into a spot on the highway at any speed! ok you LOVE the enviroment and you fill up once a month your choice thats is fine but shut the "f" up about it. maybe i am married with a family and we can not fit into a shoe sized car that goes 40 on the highway!!! ok so why cant we slap them around just a little!! i mean no serious injuries just a quick knee to the chest or a good upper cut. Oh and dont look at me and smeark while im filling up 40 gallons and your putting in your 4!!! ok sorry they just really piss me off!!! you people are so cute, "im saving the enviroment" really ... your saving it. was it in trouble ? oh yeah al gore. he drives a lincoln town care and rides around on private jets. hmmm. i am just tired of you winey little "think im better then you becuase i do something" you are the same kids i cheated off in school and sat in the stands to watch me play. america needs real men not winey cry baby hybrid libs. basically is what i should have said. and i dont care if gas is $10 a gallon i make over 210k i can afford it. yeah i am in sales and successful becuase im good looking and likable. i just think you should not be so proud of some peice of shit car thats all. oh mont23 you suck , you suck a lot,
Thinking about a hybrid vehicle for my next car prefereably an SUV like the Toyota Highlander...any thoughts? I dont know much about hybrid cars...are they really worth it? The gas milage? the more environment friendliness? Any other benefits? What about setbacks? is there anything that you compormise performance-wise with a hybrid? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
My gas milage sucks right now. What type of car do you drive? how is the milage? Does anyone have one of those hybrids? Do they do better on gas? Please help me.
When should I buy a new hybrid car? I am in the market to buy a new car in the up coming year or two. I want a hyprid becuase of the gas milage ect... I don't really want a super small car Honda insight or Toyota Prius more of a standard size, unless it will get wicked good gas milage. Does anyone know if there will be any new hybrids coming out within the next year or so that I should look for?
Car guys!! please help buying a new car.? I want to buy a new Toyota Prius. I drive alot in town and really like the hybrids gas milage. But a couple of my friends have said that I should wait a couple of months to get a better price. I am worried though because the price of gas is going up so repidly alot of people may also want to buy hibrids and I will have to pay more. OK so I am a big girl and have never bought a car by myself and now with my dad gone I really need some guy advice!! I could not thank you all enough it has really given me a ton to look into!!
Do the hyper-miler tricks for hybrids work on normal gas cars (i.e. they say to floor the gas on takeoff)? and then shift it into 5 gear as quickly as possible once you reach the speed you want to be going. Is it a good thing to be in 5th though if you're only going 35 mph? Where as traditionally, I've heard you can get better gas milage by accellerating as slowly as possible.
Question about hybrid cars? I'm looking at a Toyota Hylander. How long do the batteries last, and what is the cost to replace them.Someone said $9000.00.Sounds a bit excessive.I also heard that you can buy a warrenty for the battery. What is the cost for the warrenty?Does any out there own a Hylander, and how do you like it?How's the gas milage??Thanks.
why are hybrids still getting terrible gas mileage per gallon when technology is better than that? I did some research on hybrids and I found that there was a guy who took a DC 10 starter motor and if i remember correctly a 20 horsepower gas motor, put the two into an opel gt along with some batteries way back in 1975!! that's right 1975... and he was getting 75 miles per gallon of gasoline. What happened to the gas milage in the new hybrids? What's the difference with this guys opel vs. new tech? I would think that if back in 1975 one could get 75 mi per gallon, with todays tech we should be in the high 100's. Anyways I feel the future of cars is in solar power untill we hit a major breakthrough with cold fusion... you need to google opel electric car and read the story about this car. It is said the top speed is 90mph. Don't answer till you at least look this up online so you don't ask questions that need no answer.
Should I get a new car or a used one? What car would you suggest? I'm a 25 yr old graduate student in need of a reliable car. I want to have good gas milage (at least upper 20s) and lots of room. Of the new cars I like the functionality and reliability of the Honda Element, but think it sucks too much gas. I am thinking more along the lines of the Toyota Prius or Matrix. Maybe a Honda Civic hybrid. As you can tell, if I got a used car it would probably be either a Honda or Toyota. However, I will listen to ANY suggestions! I have around $23K to spend.
Which is more economical per mile long term? The prius hybrid or the yaris? The prius is about $10,000 more, and is better on gas milage. Is it really worth it as an investment to spend more and buy the prius, or go with a less expensive car and buy the yaris. Environmentally, I know the hybrid is better. I'm trying to figure out which one is less expensive to operate over a long term period.
Regular Honda civic or hybrid civic ? I will be a fourth year college student this year and am ready to buy my new car. I have $25000 for it. I am still debating between A regular civic or a hybrid. I like to drive fast but not race. I am not considering the si version at all, plus the gas milage on the si's really suck. I currently drive a 99 corrolla but want a new car design. If i get a regular civic I want it with sunroof, the gps system and a rear spoiler. Which regular civic model do you think is better ? The EX with all that i want will run around $22,300 while the hybrid would go for a little under $25000 plus it gets a tax reduction. When will the 2008 honda civics come out ? Recently I have also be seen the 07 nissan altimas. They are still in my price range and a little more luxurious than a civic. What r your opinions on this car ? Do you know when the 08 altima comes out ? btw I am looking for a 4 door car and not a 2door one

What are the best gas mileage / fuel economy MPG trucks , vans ,station wagons , cars available in california? What are the best gas mileage / fuel economy trucks , vans , station wagons, cars , highway legal motorcycle/scooter/vespas available in california. Some diesel vehicle do not seem to be allowed in California for some reason ( small displacement diesel cars , trucks or vans ). What are the highest gas / fuel milage MPG vehicles available in california. I am not interested in a new vehicle unless it is by far the highest mpg. I am not interested in safety JUST miles per gallon. And I am not really interested in hybrid. I really want a used vehicle that gets excelent fuel economy. hopefully the best in each and every catagorie large truck ,small truck ,van ,station wagon , car , highway legal motorcycle/scooter/vespa, other? I'm currently car free and would wise to stay that way BUT due to economic situations and the 'dislike' of cyclist (everyone who knows me {family & counsellors} says I have to get a car to get a job). When I've told potential employers that I prefer riding a bike it is like a sure thing I wont get called in for an interview or get the job regardless of my many degree's {AA's} and qualifications that really pigeon hole me to these specific jobs. I really want something that is socially acceptable that I can try to streamline and try other things to to really increase the fuel economy.

Which is better...Dodge Neon or Suzuki Reno? ...my new diesel F-350 is hawt...for hauling my boat...but commuting is another story... I want a cute car that can handle 100 miles a day, and the occasional road trip. Small, compact, not too computerized, something I can fix myself and will last forever (no hybrids). Good gas milage. Reliability. Cute & fun. I'm considering the Neon and the Suzuki Reno...any advice?

I heared that all the camry's before october 2006 is made and shipped from japan and thereafter is made in kentucky USA. True? mine came from japan? How you like the car? I love it for it's smooth ride and roomy interior and it's design and also it's gas milage. can the fuel emissions be reduced like this? What if starting in say, 2009 they re-vamp the Gas Guzzler tax. For every person that buys a low gas milage vehicle, for instance, 20 mpg and below they are charged a $2000 fee to the EPA. (If your gonna spend $40,000 on a vanity vehicle you should pay it anyway) Then the EPA would take that money and give it back as an insentive to people buying high milage vehicles and fuel cell cars, say 50-60 mpg. SUV's are selling at a rate of over 1,000,000 per month in the US and hybrid sold at an all time high in July 2007 at 187,000. That could equate to about a $3000-$4000 insentive to start out and taper off as the hybrids begin to overtake the sale of gas guzzlers. all the while cleaning up the environment and not to mention sticking it to the oil companies. So there you go Hillary, you and Obama take it from here.
CLICK HERE IF INTERESTED IN OIL POLLUTION and the enviroment? i just thought about how they are making hybrid cars and stuff but what about trains, cars, boats, planes, and all other oil using transportation devises? how come they are not making them more environmentally safe? cars are not the only pollutants.... commercial boats have horrible milage why not make them use less gas just something i thought of while sleeping.... lol
