Are the differences between the Nissan Altima and Nissan Altima Hybrid worth the cost difference? I am committed to purchasing a Nissan Altima. I really like this car and was excited to read about tax credits that may be available for purchasing a hybrid car, but I am still not convinced that the hybrid is a "better" car than a standard Altima. The cost differences that I've seen are in the $7k range. I am leaning towards 2009 models, but am willing to consider 2008 and 2010 models as well.
How does my Nissan Altima hybrid engine work? Hello, I just got a new Altima Hybrid. I am not too familar with how it charges itself and when it "decideds" to go into hybrid... sometimes the battery level is high (no idea how it charges itself) Sometimes the electric runs for longer distances and sometimes it drives on gas for a while then out of now where electric kicks in.... can someone break it down for me?
How to use AUX on Nissan Altima Hybrid? Ok. My girlfriend has a Nissan Altima Hybrid. She has AUX button in the car but there is no wire. Does she have to buy the wire? if so what is it called and where can I get it? it would be great if someone can send me link to the site selling it or something. thanks

Need to know what the best winter tires are for a Nissan Altima Hybrid.? A few days ago, I hit black ice, I stepped on the brakes, but the car kept going. The Car is just about to tap into the 20K mile mark. These are the same tires I got when I bought the car. I am sure the tires on there are good, and I know ice is ice, but is there any tire out there that holds better tracking for things such as black ice and ice and snow? Etc etc. Thank you. 2007 Model.
2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid question? We're needing something good on gas, yet has some power at takeoff and looks stylish at the same time! So we think we've found the perfect car, the 07' Nissan Altima Hybrid. the reviews have been great, from what I can tell. We're planning on owning it 3 years max. But I'm wondering if the repairs will be costly? Also, if you currently own this car are you satisfied? Basically, what's the good, what's the bad. Nissan Altima hybrid vs. Ford Escape hybrid? my sister and i are thinking about getting hybrid cars. she wants the nissan and i want the ford. which one is better?? any info on them will help. and also do we still get the tax refund thing if we buy the 2008 models? no we are both getting our own cars. not sharing

Nissan Altima 3.5 SE or Nissan Altima Hybrid? Both are roughly 25k. The 3.5SE has a 270hp engine and gets roughly 22/28mpg (city/highway). The hybrid has a 158hp engine and a 40hp electric motor and gets 42/36mpg (city/highway). Which would you pick?
Nissan Altima Hybrid driving skill question.? Is kind sham for me to began...some how my MPG for my driving record are always show at 33.1MPG+/-. But sticker shows local at 35 and free way at 33...(my father always said that I am hopeless even let me drive hybrid...)Does anyone actually how to drive hybrid? PS::I notices that this car is somehow different then other car I drove before....I understand the xtronic CVT and hybrid tech ..but does that mean I must change my drive experience all over again? problem with the Nissan Altima Hybrid 2009? My mom recently purchases the brand new car we had it for 4 days now. NOw we are having problem witht he static noise somewhere in the background even if you turn off the radio we tried to go to FM radio and than turn off the radio and still hear the static noice we first thought it was the XM satelite radio but it was not the case. anyone with the simular experience can help me how to get rid of the static noise in the backgroudn will be great if not that Okay. thank you for your help Matt
Would I really be able to lease a Nissan Altima (non-hybrid) at $199 per month? My brother in law says he and my sister have gotten very good deals from a particular Nissan dealer. He thinks I should be able to lease a new Altima for $199 per month. He doesn't know my background though, so how can he say it? This is what he doesn't know (for better or for worse). I'm 28 yrs. old, have a full time job, steady since September 06' and make an income of 38,500. All three Fico scores hover around 641 and I had my car re-poed in early 2006 but it was since paid off. (Still sits as a charge-off on my credit report) but credit report has been steadily increasing by 20 in the past three months since I got my first credit card in three years and all payments have been made in full and on time. I plan on putting down $2,000 with no co-signer. Would have no problems making payments anywhere from 199 thru 300 per month plus insurance. Will I be able to lease this new 2009 Altima (non-hybrid) as he mentions for $199 per month? I believe my apr would be around 12.3 - 12.7. Or, perhaps by then (end of August), 11.0 - 11.7. Thanks!
Which hybrid car would you buy?Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima? I am looking to buy a midsize hybrid 4 door sedan. I have narrowed it down to two cars. Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima, both 2007 models. I've been told that both cars are very comparable since Nissan licensed some of the hybrid components from Toyota so therefore the drive train and the hybrid system are almost identical for both cars. However, Toyota dealer told me that Toyota licensed older technology hybrid components than the latest installed in the Camry. Is this true? Which would you buy?

Want to exchange my '07 Nissan Murano for an '07 Altima Hybrid? Just leased the Murano a month ago. I leased the SL fully loaded (leather/nav/20Kper year) for $520...no money down. I love it BUT its such a gas guzzler that I'm thinking of exchanging it for the Altima Hybrid. The dealer said they would work something out for me. I know if I had leased the Altima hybrid from the start my payments would have been less than what I pay for the Murano. I'm afraid that they know they have me in a corner and my payments for the Altima(loaded w/nav MSRP is $32,800) will end up being just as high as for the Murano (fully loaded with nav-MSRP $38,455). So this is my dilemma: ***I'll probably be paying a higher lease payment than I should for a hybrid Altima *** I'm wondering if the gas savings will be worth it. Currently I avg 18/22 on the murano. Supposedly the Altima gets 35/40. SHOULD I MAKE THE SWAP

What's the best Hybrid car for a first time driver? How much would my car be worth in trade in value? (2003 Nissan Altima)? I have a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 S and it’s in good condition, a couple of little nicks but nothing major. It's silver and pretty clean accept for the floor but I can get that shampooed and detailed. Anyway I was just wondering if I was interested in getting a new car how much would my car be worth as a trade in. I have been looking in to the Nissan Altima 2008 Hybrid and I really like the new 09 Maxima coming out. I know they are both very expensive though. Hybrid Tax Credit question? I am planning to get Nissan Altima Hybrid which gives me $2350 tax credit. But the problem is that I don't owe any tax, so that means I will get nothing out of the tax credit???

S Corp Hybrid tax credit? We operate a S Corporation and this as of next month it is 3 years since we gotten a new car, we were considering purchasing a Nissan Altima Hybrid 07 which comes with $2200 tax credit, would we still be able to receive the business tax deduction and the tax credit if we purchase it under the business? Also, are we allowed to since this will soon be more than 3 years since we made our last car purchase for our business? So you are saying the credit will get split among all the shareholders of the S Corp?

Cabin wind noise on freeway - Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Lexus, etc.? Looking for sources of cabin wind levels on freeway - Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Lexus, etc. I know that tires, pavement, etc. make a huge impact, but a Mercedes for example is very quiet, while a 2000 Nissan Maxima is pure hell with wind noise, at least when trying to listen to books on tape. Wondering if the new Nissan Altima Hybrid has the similar issue. You would think Road & Track, Motor Trend, etc. would measure this. really interested in comparisons, i.e. much better than a Maxima, almost as good as a Mercedes E class. I am tempted to buy a db meter and actually measure tham all myself on a common stretch of freeway!
Nissan Altima, Honda civic, or ? I am going to be a fourth year university student and can afford a car around $25,000. I was thinking of getting a honda civic hybrid because I really like the new design, but I do not drive much so i do not think it would be worth getting a hybrid. I recently rented a altima and have fallen in love with its features and design. I want something a little luxurious and sporty at the same time but not some car that is not cool for younger people. I am going to be 21 soon so i want to get a cool impressive car. My family has always been a honda or toyota fan but besides the civic, I dont really like the other choices. Also I do not want a coupe since i do not like 2 door cars. When will the 2008 Nissan Altima come out ? Is it worth waiting for the 08 or should i go for the 07 price really isnt an issue since I have $25,000 for it. Also what other car recomendations do u guys have ?
Hybrids and fire? I have recently been looking into the Nissan Altima Hybrid and the Toyota Camry Hybrid, but was recently informed by a coworker that if the hybrid is in an accident and the electrical system is hit, a fire will most likely start. Also if a fire does start in the electrial system and somebody tries to put out the fire by cutting the electric to the car a fire will also start there? I figure that if it would be that common for a fire to start, how could they be safe? So my question is, will a fire easily start in the car if you're in an accident?
are hybrids worth it? ok so im getting a car and i thot that i would get a hyrbid because it would save money on gas and it would give me the carpool (HOV) lane on the highway... but i was looking and for just as much money i could get a car that i actually like better and im just wondering if its worth getting the hybrid that i dont like as much instead of the normal car that i do like a lot (this would be the Honda Civic Hybrid or the Nissan Altima Hybrid vs. the Acura TSX)
Car with good mileage in FLORIDA? hey im probably gonna get my first car in around february of 2009 and I need a car with good mpg for around $20,000-$25,000. i heard that the nissan altima hybrid is great but it is currently not available in florida. has anybody ever brought it down from another state? i also like the honda accord but i dont really know what other options there are for good mpg cars. thanks!!!!
Can I buy a 2008 Altima Hybrid in Florida? It says that the Nissan Altima Hybrid is only available in 8 states, not including Florida. It is for sale in the eight states that have adopted the CA regulations, CA, CT, ME, MA, NJ, NY, RI and Vermont. Does this mean that it is illegal in Florida, it is strictly not for sale in Florida, I can still buy it in Florida but it has to be imported from another state, or that it is for sale but just doesn't meet regulations?

Hybrid car purchase...compare MPG or Miles per Tank?? ok im looking at this site: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/hybrid_sbs_cars.shtml i want a hybrid vehicle (i wld like a suv but i dont think the fuel economy is there)...i was initially comparing MPG, so the Prius and Honda Civic hybrids win at 55 and 50 MPG, respectively... However, then I see the category "Miles On a Tank" (henceforth, MOT) and for the Nissan Altima is at 702 MOT (20.gal tank/39 MPG), while the Prius is at 589 MOT (11.9 gallon tank) and the Civic is at 554 MOT (12.3 gal tank). I thought I should look at MPG, but considering the differing tank sizes should i instead focus on miles per tank?? so assuming 20 gallons for each vehicle Altima~(appox)$58, Prius~$64, and Civic~$65 (using their fill-up costs shld i be comparing Cost/Miles on a Tank or MPG, or some squidgy combo of them? also, if u have any personal experience with these cars please share with me... Merci! Maybe my thinking is flawed...straighten me out

I like to drive fast but not race. I am not considering the si version at all, plus the gas milage on the si's really suck. I currently drive a 99 corrolla but want a new car design. If i get a regular civic I want it with sunroof, the gps system and a rear spoiler. Which regular civic model do you think is better ? The EX with all that i want will run around $22,300 while the hybrid would go for a little under $25000 plus it gets a tax reduction. When will the 2008 honda civics come out ? Recently I have also be seen the 07 nissan altimas. They are still in my price range and a little more luxurious than a civic. What r your opinions on this car ?
