1. I was looking at hybrids until my mechanic told me that they can work on only some things if the car has a problem. Like they can do oil changes and such but for just about anything else it will have be handled by the dealer because it has this wire with high voltage that could kill the person working on the car if not discharged properly. That the firemen had to take a special course if a hybrid gets in an accident and the shields on this wire are exposed they could kill someone. So I am having second thoughts because a dealer working on the car is always much higher than the normal mechanic and having an accident makes me wonder if it would effect those in the car. Aside from the fact those batteries are very expensive like $900. each! Tain't no 29.95 Walmart specials.
