Which non-hybrid car has the best gas mileage?

I'm shopping for a car, but can't afford a hybrid. I want something that won't cost much to fill up.

1. My honda civic gets me around 27 mpg. 32 highway.
2. Well if you live in town and don't have to take the highways anywhere, you may want to consider investing in a moped. They average around 80 mpg, and can reach speeds of 55 mph!

5. I would recommend a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. My car is a Honda Civic and can get 40 miles to the gallon.
